Title: Grief and Loss
Author:
charlotteschaos
Challenge: #63 "Dog"
Word Count: 100
Warning: Implied violence, character death
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Hermione
"Harry promised he'd come back." Draco wrapped his frail, bruised arms around his knees and stared miserably out the window.
Hermione had once hated Draco, but took no joy in seeing him deranged. Had she not seen the provisions in Harry's will regarding Draco, she never would have believed the secret affair. It fell to her to care for him.
"He loves me. You're his dog."
Having lost an eye to Draco's last obsessive tantrum, Hermione hit him with a preventative calming spell. Draco was increasingly paranoid that she was keeping Harry from him.
She was running out of options.
