Notes I think this is my first time posting here. Be gentle? This was much better when it was 109 words. *shrugs*. Title is from an old lullaby.

He thinks about his father, how he has failed to save him, how he has lost him now to the Dark Lord. He shudders and his mind skips away from thoughts of screaming and torture, of long blond hair matted with blood.

He thinks about his mother, how she will react when she finds out. He curls further into himself and tries to block out images of tears marring a perfect face and a broken voice pleading for mercy.

He remembers that voice singing to him as a child and hums the lullaby softly as he rocks himself to sleep.
