Winding through the shadowed corridors of Hogwarts, being chased by shadows of the guttering candlelight, Draco was bothered. Behind him echoed the clack of smaller feet along with the distressing mechanical crack and flash of light. Without his cronies, he felt vulnerable and edgy. Picking up the pace, he headed to the dungeons, doubling back to retrace his steps and try alternate routes. Evading his stalker was proving near impossible.
Knowing that briskness by itself wasn't dissuading his devotee, he wracked his brain for a way to break free. A blind hallway sparked inspiration. He allowed himself a malicious grin.
Colin was overjoyed when he managed to corner Draco. He'd offered shoot a picture of Malfoy for Harry's scrapbook. Though he hadn't promised he could get a photo of Draco smiling, he knew Harry would prefer that. Colin had been following Malfoy for a little over an hour and now he was going to reap the reward for his patience.
Draco turned around, beaming. Thrilled, Colin managed to snap a photo, realizing too late the cause for Draco's sudden giddiness; he was brandishing his wand.
After two days in the infirmary, Colin was still finding boils in painfully personal places.
