She cowered on the floor, exposed in the middle of the vast hall. Head bowed, arms wrapped protectively around herself, she looked like she was trying to melt into the floor. Her hair was straggly with the need for a bath, and her clothes were dirty and torn. The stench of fear and sickness rose from her in a wave of nausea.

The assembled mass of robes and masks were impassive.

There was one unmasked man. He was the one who walked to her with a smile that didn’t reach his cold grey eyes.

“Hello. I’m Draco Malfoy.”

Avada Kedavra.

Eep! Dang. There are SO many fics and drabbles out there of Draco being redeemed and the like that, when I come across such pieces of work like this, it tends to be a bit of a shock. Which is silly, really, because he has as much chance, if not more so, of becoming one of these, as opposed to being saved.

Told you already over at malfoy100 how much I'm impressed by this... yet, I've to repeat it again: brilliant work!
Evil!DeathEater!Draco stands a good chance to become true in canon, I think, yet I don't hope so - not that I want to see him "saved" (whatever that means...), but I think he's too much of a whiny little coward... and why does it always have to be "the good" or "the evil" side...

i generally agree with the coward!draco characterisation too. but in fic, as it is now, with draco's ultimate future still unknown, yeah it can still swing either way.
