Draco picked up the crystal bottle and filled a small glass. The clear liquid cascaded down, burning the morning’s fresh cuts. He slowly replaced it on the makeshift interrogation-room table.
“One more time Severus, where is Potter?”
Blood, bruises, and broken bones aside, Severus maintained a ghost of his drawl, “I am aware that as an Auror you have to ask but, Mr. Malfoy, do you honestly believe I would give you that information?”
Draco lowered his head, silky hair cascading over his shoulders. Misguided as his loyalty is, in war it is a precious thing. Good personnel choice, Dumbledore.
