Draco held out his glass to be refilled. "Thanks, Potter," he said, feeling nervous and bashful. "I need something to wash down all those sweet treats I ate."
"It was better than sitting around the common room, getting murdered at Wizard's Chess by Ron," said Potter.
"Or hearing Blaise complain about his mother and his latest stepfather," added Draco.
"Or listening to Hermione nag me about my plans for the weekend."
"Or tolerate Pansy haranguing me about my lack of a love life."
They paused and stared at one another before breaking into laughter.
Potter clinked their glasses together. "Cheers!"
