With Harry and Hermione murmuring in the background, Draco idly flips through a book, not really reading. Karst taps his cheek with the tip of its tail, and Draco turns the page.

It’s warm. Draco finds himself listing forwards, drifting into sleep. The sound of words in the background blurs, and he images holding a handful of letters, trying to piece them together so that he can understand the message. It’s not working, and he starts to feel—

There’s a soft tap on his check, and Draco glances up to see Karst’s golden gaze. He flips to the next page.
