“Do you ever have to think—“ Draco begins, the cuts himself off. The sun is warm on his face, lying on a blanket in Luna’s back garden.

“Hmm?” Luna hums, glancing over from where she’s weaving a flower crown. Draco looks at her, really looks. There’s a half-smile on her face, and her eyes are warm. She looks happy.

“Never mind,” Draco says, closing his eyes. He can trace the veins in his eyelids, a complicated network like the tangled lines of his family trees.

“Too many Nargles,” Luna says, and there’s a soft weight on his chest. The crown.
