Draco's tension eased. "That's true," he conceded. "Amidst all of Pansy's promises of retribution and vengeance, I forgot about Granger's role in setting us up."

"We don't have to keep meeting in secret if you'd rather reveal ourselves before we go to Hogsmeade," said Harry. "I don't want Parkinson to wreak vengeance on you for keeping her in the dark."

Draco waved the offer away. "Pansy deserves to stew in her own juices," he said. "Besides, everyone will know soon enough that we're together. She can gloat all she wants then. In the meantime, I vote we keep them guessing."
