The following evening, after dodging Pansy, Draco found himself hiking along the path that led to the bridge over the Black Lake.

Potter was waiting there for him, and he turned to smile at Draco. "Do you realize this is our third date?" he asked. "First, we met at the pumpkin patch, then the Astronomy Tower, and now here on the bridge."

Draco couldn't help but grin in response. "Three is a magic number," he responded.

Potter sidled closer. "Do you know what would make this moment more magical?"

Draco's pulse sped up. "No, what?"

Potter smiled again. "A kiss."
