Instead of lingering over his usual morning ritual of getting ready for the day, Draco showered and dressed quickly, intent on getting to the Great Hall early. Despite his abbreviated ablutions, he still arrived after Potter.

Draco took a seat at the Slytherin table and chanced a glance across the Hall. He met Potter's eyes, and both of them grinned. Draco turned away before any of his Housemates caught him flirting with Gryffindor's golden boy. He especially didn't want Pansy to find out. No, Draco wanted to keep this...whatever it was with Potter a secret for as long as possible.
