By a stroke of luck, Potter also produced some biscuits, which he shared with Draco.

"Were you planning a picnic?"

"No," Potter replied. "I nicked the biscuits from Lavender when she wasn't looking. Serves her right for not offering to share."

Draco raised his eyebrows. "Are you sure you're a Gryffindor?"

Potter laughed. "The Hat did consider placing me in Slytherin," he admitted.

"That would have been queer."

"More queer than you and I, sitting out here tonight, while sharing cider and biscuits?"

"You realize the entire school will assume the worst, yeah?"

"I don't care," said Potter. "Do you?"
