Summary: Draco is a hero to his little boy.



Fireworks exploded in the sky over the Manor, bathing the grounds in flickering shades of blue, red, and green.

Draco grinned as his son's face lit up, only to cringe when the boom of the explosion caused Scorpius to cry out. He buried his face in Draco's neck, his small body trembling uncontrollably.

"Scared, Daddy."

"Sh, it's okay, son," soothed Draco, casting a Muffliato around them. It deadened the noises of explosions, leaving only the beauty of the fireworks above.

Scorpius leaned back to watch, enthralled and happy again.

Draco smiled. It was good to be the hero for once.
