Draco never understood why people were afraid of the dark, he had loved it. Dark corners were perfect for sitting and watching. You could hear so many things if people didn’t know you were there. It was such a useful thing the dark. It gave him power over others. Draco embraced the darkness that surrounded him, made it his own.
Or so he had thought, the dark haunted him now. It whispered in his ear, all the things he’d done and seen. It told him his failings, reminded him of his faults. Made him doubt himself.
He hated the dark.
