"Happy Birthday!" Harry said cheerfully.

"Thanks Harry," Draco replied, leaning to give him a kiss. “Do you want to go flying today?”

“Can’t today, mate. Im meeting Luna in Hogsmead this morning,” Harry said with a wink, ignoring the hand on his thigh, “Maybe I’ll see you at dinner.”

Draco swallowed back tears of disappointment, hatred, self-loathing.

Everything had been great until she came along, ruining everything. Now she was all Harry talked about, Luna this, Luna that. Luna, Luna, Luna.

“Fuck Luna”, he thought miserably, regretting the thought when he realised Harry just might.

He hated birthdays.
