The following morning, Draco took his seat at the Slytherin table. He met Harry's gaze across the Great Hall, and they shared a secret smile.
"...can have a career at the Ministry," Daphne was saying to Blaise.
"My relative says it's deadly dull," Blaise countered, obviously arguing against Daphne's point concerning their future employment.
Draco tuned them out and tried not to look at Harry again.
"What about you, Draco?" Pansy murmured. "Planning to work at the Ministry to be closer to Potter?"
"If I go to work at the Ministry," Draco drawled, "it will be for prestige and power."
