It started with a handshake – or more accurately, without one – followed by years of battle. They’ve each left their mark on the other.
Eventually, those barbs gave way to bickering; all of the wit, none of the venom. Now, something else is lurking there: the possibility of more.
Draco opens Harry’s note. His pulse quickens.
Dinner on Saturday?
It’s more than dinner. It’s an invitation to establish new rituals: courtship and kisses, lust and laughter … maybe even love.
Draco turns over the parchment and pens his response.
It’s a date.
