Pansy's mouth dropped open at Draco's accusation. "You sat out there all night, by yourself?! Draco, I'm sorry," she added. "I don't know what to say."
"Yeah?" snapped Draco, enjoying his friend's discomfiture. "There's a first time for everything." With that, he barged past Pansy and headed to the boys' dorms. Draco waited until he was out of sight before he grinned, and he waited until the door was safely closed behind him before he allowed his mirth to come out in the form of a snicker. Pansy could gloat later, when she saw Draco and Potter together at Hogsmeade.
